Growing Esteem Information Futures Commission

Trends and benchmarks

With assistance from many staff in Information Services, and drawing on national and international sources of comparative data, the project team have compiled a description of the University's current performance in several areas relating to scholarly information and technologies.

This document highlights strategic questions for the University and identifies opportunities for improved data-gathering to support strategic and tactical decision-making.

The data are summarised in three thematic scorecards:

  1. Scorecard: people and capabilities (PDF 73 kb)
  2. Scorecard: scholarly information and collections (PDF 68 kb)
  3. Scorecard: infrastructure (PDF 84 kb)

The scorecards are drafts only, and are intended to demonstrate the type of analysis and reporting that could be carried out regularly as part of normal management practices.

The complete Trends and Benchmarks document is available (intranet access only) (PDF 400 kb).
