To stimulate a broad-ranging conversation about our scholarly information environment, the Information Management program invites distinguished experts to deliver guest lectures during the academic year.
The Information Futures Forums are open to staff and interested students of the University.
The 2008 Information Futures Forums
In 2008 the Information Futures Commission co-sponsored the Information Futures Forum series. We are also grateful to VALA, the National Young Writers' Festival, the Australia Council Literature Board (through its Story of the Future initiative), the University of Newcastle Writing Cultures Research Group, and the Faculty of Arts at the University of Melbourne, for their assistance with booking guest speakers.

- 29 May 2008 - Scholarly Information Futures: presentations by a selection of forward-thinking individuals representing many of our key library and IT suppliers
- 20 May 2008 -Library of the Future: panel discussion with Professor Pip Pattison, Professor Janet McCalman, Ms Gillian Luck and Dr Kenn Fisher
- 28 April 2008 - learning and teaching in 10 years' time: panel discussion with Dr Dianne Chambers, Dr Kerri-Lee Harris, Professor Richard James and Dr Gregor Kennedy
