Growing Esteem Information Futures Commission

Outstanding! (What would that feel like?)

What role does 'scholarly information' play in your learning, teaching and research?

How do you find and use published information and collections? Materials for learning and teaching purposes?

Where do you store and manage information created in the course of doing research? What about research outputs such as papers, monograph, visualisations and multimedia objects?

The Information Futures Commission wanted to know, so we ran an online survey during March and April 2008. Over 130 academic staff, students and professional staff completed the questionnaire.

Detailed results will be published later in 2008. Meanwhile, to give you a flavor of the responses, here is a tag cloud for answers to the final question: ten years from now, what would be your ideal environment for creating, discovering, using and sharing scholarly information?
