Actions and achievements
- Official launch by Vice-Chancellor on 29 January, with Information Futures Forum presentation by Richard Katz (a member of the External Reviewers panel) -- see article in Voice.
- Confirmed international guest speaker for the February 2008 Information Futures Forum.
- Web site launched: introduction to the Information Futures Commission and consultation process; feedback form and email address (info-futures@unimelb.edu.au).
- Group weblog launched: the first blog to be created in a new 'corporate blogging' environment hosted by Information Services
- Further development of project process, timeline and budget.
- First workshop with Expert Panel and guest Richard Katz: several activities to define expectations, role of the Expert Panel, scope of the Commission.
- Began researching and drafting contents of Consultation Paper. The Consultation Paper will be released late in February.
- Confirmed Dame Lynne Brindley as member of the External Reviewers panel.
