Actions and achievements
Consultation continues with presentations/meetings with Committee of Deans, Law staff, VCA Curriculum Committee, MDHS.
First open staff student forum with over 50 attendees and good presentations from Peter McPhee, Iven Mareels and Scott Bloodworth. Lots of Q and A (notes on the web, and video of presentations).
Faculty planning sessions to develop an ideal ten year future state underway with mixed enthusiasm – MDHS already have a draft and others still yet to meet.
More than 100 personal questionnaires filled in – make for interesting reading!
Formal submissions trickling in (4 so far) and up on the web.
Expert Panel continues to be very enthusiastic and good critical friends.
At the last Steering Committee we agreed to take the draft outputs from the Commission to Academic Board in May, release these for feedback the following day within the University (with a two-week deadline), before presenting the final version to June Academic Board. Given this timeline we’re trying to squeeze in an extra Steering Committee meeting before the May Academic Board.
