Final Report and Ten-Year Strategy
On 26 June 2008 the Academic Board received two documents from the Information Futures Commission:
- Final Report from the Commission's Steering Committee, describing the initial consultation phase and summarising its findings
- Melbourne's Scholarly Information Future: a 10-year strategy
These documents are available from the Academic Board web site (PDF 2.1 Mb, internal University access only). Please note: This version of the draft strategy contains some budget estimates. These have since been revised, and an amended budget proposal will be presented to the Planning and Budget Conference in late July.
Academic Board noted the report and endorsed the strategy.
The strategy document will be forwarded to the July meeting of University Council for approval.
Previous drafts of the documents
Earlier drafts of these documents had been discussed at the May meeting of Academic Board, then made available for comment by the University community.
